Tiger Tennis sweeps MTCS to reach district final

The MCHS tennis team swept Middle Tennessee Christian School (MTCS) in the District 11A-AA semifinals Friday at Old Fort Park with identical 4-2 victories, setting up a championship fianl match-up versus Page on Tuesday at MTCS.

Boys (MCHS 4-2)

Justin Killian def. Kip Kahler (2-6, 6-0, 6-3)

MCHS senior Justin Killian defeated Cougar number one seed Kip Kahler in a three set singles match before teaming up with Patrick Kennedy in an (8-6) doubles' win as the Tigers prevailed 4-2 overall to reach the district finals in Team Tennis.

Patrick Kennedy lost to Mark Claiborne (2-6, 1-6)

Erik Martin lost to Keith Pickard (4-6, 4-6)
