Students who want to make money over the summer by babysitting should plan to attend a training session to be offered in Lewisburg later this month.
The Marshall County Extension Office will offer a 4-H training called "Babysitting Rocks!" on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23. This workshop is open to all students in 5th to 12th grades and will focus on child development, health and safety, and the overall responsibilities associated with caring for children.
Participants will receive a Babysitter's Handbook, UT Certificate of Course Completion, a set of business cards, and Babysitter's Bag. Lunch will be provided. This will be a fun day of games, activities, discussion, and learning. A fee will be charged, but it will be reduced by 20 percent for participants who pre-register.
A registration form can be found on the Web site: utextension.tennessee.edu/marshall.
