After nearly a three-year absence, the Saddle Creek Men's Golf Association (MGA) was recently reformed and returned with a bang on Sunday as 37 two-man teams teed it up for a two-man scramble on the Par 72, 6,283 yard course.
After some great playing, the team of Ryan Johnson and Jeff Whitmore took home first place in the Championship Flight, shooting an excellent 12 under par 60, three strokes clear of second place.
Joe Ligget and Steven Pennington were second and John Myhr and Ray Garbiras came in third.
1st Flight winners Jared and Bill Parsons.
Jared Parsons and Bill came to the clubhouse as winners of the 1st Flight as they signed their scorebook for a nice round of 66. Parsons and Parsons won on a match of cards, tied with twins Luke and Eli Buckley and the duo of Buddy Wiles and Guy Chambers.
In the 2nd Flight, Eddie Richmond and Joe Hinzman won with 69, while John Philpot and Bob Szeliga were second and Roger Harwell and Brandon Hardin took the third spot.
Third Flight winners were Bobby Beech and Mike Tatum (70) with Ricky "Goose" Sweeney and Ryan Sweeney coming home in second and Bill Haywood and John Lambert signed for a third place finish.
