Carmen Blake Coleman, 65, of Cornersville, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. He was a member Verona Caney Baptist Church of Lewisburg, a Mason, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force; he was retired from General Motors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Coleman, and parents, Daniel and Bertha Coleman.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal Renee Coleman of Cornersville; son, Daniel Blake and Michelle Coleman II of Michigan; grandson, Daniel Blake Coleman III of Michigan; stepson, Rick Hamblen of Florida; grandson, Christopher Hamblen of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Candace and Shane Brooks of Arab, Ala.; grandchildren, Laney and Trent Brooks of Arab, Ala.; sisters, Wanda Lou and Charley Brown of Crossville, Anna Faye and Johnny Long of Franklin, N.C., Henrietta and Moses Maggard of Philadelphia, Joy and Jim Thompson of Cleveland, Shelia and Kevin Charles of Pikeville, Ky., Sally Jo and Mike Turner of Paris, Ky., Ruth Caines of Pikeville, Ky., Brenda Carol and Doug Frasure of Pikeville, Ky.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger Odell and Ruby Coleman of Bidwell, Ohio, and Donald W. and Sally Coleman of Pikeville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Johnson Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Ted Pegram officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, with full military honors.
