After watching the Farm Center of Chapel Hill suffer a devastating upset loss to A-Plus in game one Thursday night at the Jonathan D. Hollingsworth Memorial Babe Ruth Field in Lewisburg, Nichirin said no way in game two, pounding IMI 21-0 in just three innings.

Jay Howard led the offensive blitzkrieg for Nichirin, going 3-4 with five RBI's, highlighted by an inside-the-park homerun in the huge 13-run third inning.

Howard also smashed two doubles in the contest, stole a base and scored three times.

IMI's Luke Cunningham (1) had the only two hits for his ball club in their 21-0 loss to Nichirin.

Cameron Isley picked up the three-inning win on the mound for the body shop nine, giving up just a pair of hits to Luke Cunningham, while striking five and walking two IMI batters.

Isley also had a productive night at the plate with two hits in three at bats, including a bases-loaded triple.

Isley also walked once and scored twice in Nichirin's 13-hit attack.

Madison Peete turned in a perfect night in the batter's box, going 3-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs.

Hunter Talley had two hits in three trips to the plate, knocked in two runs with a double, drove home another when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and scored two runs.

Stuart Warner (two runs scored, two bases on balls), Josh McKnight (two runs scored, one walk), and Hunter Bradford rounded out the offensive surge with one hit apiece in the contest.

Nichirin (8-2) put up a six-spot in the first inning, added two more runs in the second inning and finished off winless IMI (0-10) with a season league high 13 runs in the third.
