Linda was born in Columbia on Feb. 26, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Enoch Ethridge and Mary Lucille Hines Blalock. Linda worked at Heil Quaker & Associated Pipeline, having been a hard worker all of her life. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Lewisburg. Linda loved being outdoors, including gardening, fishing, and boating. She was a lady who loved life. Her family recalls that she was a fighter and not much ever got her down. She was very energetic, outgoing, and fun to be around. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and consignment shops. Linda was a devoted, loving, caring mother, friend, and grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Joe Blalock, Mary Stewart, Charles Blalock, and Gayle Edwards.
She is survived by her children, Phillip (Nikki) Joyce and Connie (Doug) Tull; a brother, Doug Blalock; four sisters, Helen Peters, Shirley Hedrick, Ellen Boshers, and Erma Blalock; four grandchildren, Tiffany Curtis, Justin Carter, Kaitlyn Joyce, and Wyatt Joyce; and a great-grandchild, Ivory Stinnett Curtis, all of Lewisburg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 29, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. service hour.
Heritage Funeral Home is in charge and assisting the family with those arrangements.
