Philip Edwards Wilson, 60, of Chapel Hill, died Friday evening,
July 13, 2012.
He was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late Donald Brown and Elaine Hedgcoth Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Forrest High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. Mr. Wilson was very active in the community including, serving as president and board member of the Marshall County Soil Conservation District. He was a member of the Tennessee Cattleman's Association and the Elks Lodge. In addition to being a lifelong Angus cattle farmer, Philip also owned a hardwood flooring business.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Teresa Wilson of Chapel Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Katy Wilson of Goodlettsville; sister, Eileen Wilson of Kent, Wash.; and brother, Randall Wilson of Chapel Hill.
The funeral service was conducted Monday, July 16, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Tom Holland and Myra Staggs officiating. Burial followed in Wilson Family Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
