Bobby Gene Walker

Retired Captain Bobby Gene Walker, 82, of Lewisburg, passed on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at NHC Oakwood.

He was the son of the late Harrison and Annie Ruth Stahls Walker and a member of St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, an Army veteran, and a retired police captain.

He was preceded in death by two sons; four brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Walker; son, Robert Keith Walker; stepsons, Jimmy Tidwell and Michael Hurt; stepdaughters, Patsy Hightower and Veronica Hurt; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Henry and Margaret Allen; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, Cornersville, Pastor Ashley Cox officiating, followed by burial in Beechwood Cemetery.
