Gladys J. Borger

Gladys J. Borger, 95, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at NHC- Lewisburg.

A native of Winter Beach, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Zunie Strickland Roddenberry and Tilden Roddenberry. She was retired from the accounting department for Winn Dixie and a member of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John D. Gilliard, and her second husband, Fred Borger; one sister, Ruby Cruce; and two brothers, David Roddenberry and Phillip Roddenberry.

Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Gilliard-Gallagher of Lewisburg; two sons, James D. Gilliard of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and Douglas Gilliard of Sugar Hill, Ga.; one brother, Eugene Roddenberry of Vero Beach, Fla.; and one sister, Myrtle Holt of Mobile, Ala. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Borger's body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Mobile, Ala.

Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
