Funeral to be held Saturday for Gene Michael

Funeral services for Hurshell Eugene "Gene" Michael will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. Family visitation will from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 10, at the funeral home, and after noon on Saturday.

Mr. Michael, 78, of Chapel Hill, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin.

Mr. Michael was a native of Berrien County, Mich., and the son of the late Hurshell Michael and Carmen McClintock Michael. He was a retired business executive of the former Heil-Quaker Corp. of Lewisburg.

In addition to his parents, a brother, Von Michael, predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Judy Crumley Michael of Chapel Hill; two sons, Craig (Vickie) Michael of Lewisburg and David (Debbie) Michael of Tullahoma; one daughter, Brenda Evans of Dickson; and one brother, Bill Michael of Arizona. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
