Jeffrey Scott Marshall, 45, of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at Marshall Medical Center.
Born in Richmond, Va., he was a longtime resident of Lewisburg and was the son of Suzy (Doug) Alberts and James Marshall. He loved writing music and singing to his family, playing video games, and watching his favorite TV show, "Avatar." He was always a kid at heart and a proud member of the Duck River Project Band.
His first wife, Tonia Lake Marshall, preceded Mr. Marshall in death.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Mary Jo Marshall of Lewisburg; two sons, Jeffrey Marshall II of Lewisburg and Quentin (Dewey) Marshall of Cornersville; and one daughter, Kira LaVonne Marshall of Lewisburg. Two stepsons, Alex and Allen Alberts of Lewisburg, one stepdaughter, Christi Dawn Roper of Chapel Hill, and one grandchild, Aria Morgan Roper, also survive.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Herbie Reed officiating.
Mr. Marshall's ashes will be interred at Lone Oak Cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
