Mae was a native of Lewisburg and member of Lewisburg First Church of the Nazarene. She was born to Samuel Robert Cummings and Ruby Lucille (King) Cummings Alexander, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, William Paul Alexander, and son, Kenneth Wayne Baker.
Mae is survived by her husband Robert Marcus Chilton and their children: Tymna (Jackie) Lee and Elmo "Bubba" Baker, both of Lewisburg, Cathy (Chris) Jackson of Killeen, Texas, and James (Aimee) Baker of Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Lee, Allycia (Justin) DeCaire, Buster Garrard, Dakota Lee, Courtney Pillow, Tanesha Pugh, and Kenneth Baker Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Ellizabeth DeCaire, Kylie Pillow.
Mae is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Bobby (Dickie) Cummings, Kenneth (Becky) Cummings, Patsy Sullivan, Paula (Darrell) Alexander, Terri Minor, Sherri Farley, Bessie Alexander, and Reavis (Charlotte) Alexander.
Mae was also blessed with a very loving extended family with lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Aug. 27, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mae has asked that donations be made to the Food Pantry at Lewisburg First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 2083, Lewisburg, TN 37091
