Jimmy B. Crosby, 66, of the Wheel Community of Bedford County, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, in Shelbyville. Mr. Crosby was born in Brantley County, Ga., and was a son of the late Melvin Barnwell and Chan Josephine Crosby. He was a diesel mechanic and farmer and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Mr. Crosby was preceded in death by a grandson, Jimmy Carroll.
Mr. Crosby is survived by his wife, Peggy Crosby; children, Robin (Teddie) Haskins, Vickie Carroll (Brian Harmon), Duffy Crosby, Cameron Crosby, and Kelly Renee (Michael) Perryman; grandchildren, Ginger Haskins, Savannah Crosby, Dakota Ponder, Brittney Carroll, Salem Haskins, Gus Ponder, Kiylin Perryman, and Grace Perryman; sister, Barbara Erdmier; sister-in-law, Barbara Kirkland, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Lane.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Aug. 27, from the Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Family served as pallbearers.
Lawrence Funeral Home and Cremation Services was in charge of arrangements.
