Tansil shoots even par at King's Creek

Forrest senior Blake Tansil continued his torrid play on the links, shooting an even par round of 36 over the first nine holes at King's Creek Golf Course in Spring Hill on Thursday, but it was not enough to carry the Rockets over the top as they finished in third place behind Spring Hill and Summit.

The Rockets tallied a 189 cumulative score, while Spring Hill finished first with a 164 on their home course with neighboring Summit four strokes back at 168.

Spring Hill: Austin Mabry 39, Sam Hardison 40, Chris Coop 42, Brandon Sanchez 43, Eric Binkley 48 and Jonathan Chappeli 48.

Lady Rocket freshman Caitlin Burt recorded a 64 over nine holes at King's Creek.

Summit: Sean Samuels 40, Grant Robinson 40, Ethan Gwinn 43, Skylar Cochran 43, Austin Osborn 43 and Steven McCracken 43.

Forrest: Blake Tansil 36, Gary Lukonen 43, Austin Nichols 54, Hawken King 56, Ty Hoeft 59 and Brennan Huff 59.

Fayetteville City: Taylor Branch 51 and Drew Bradford 54.

On the girls' side, the young Lady Rockets' squad gained some more valuable experience on the tough 2,248-yard nine-hole layout as they shot a cumulative score of 125, 30 strokes behind the Lady Spartans from Summit.

Summit: Anna Horn 46, Reilly Bethmann 49 and Reagan Moore 55.

Forrest: Misty Martin 61, Caitlin Burt 64, Maria Harris 66, and Dani Hoeft 67.

Spring Hill: Libby Coop 40.

Fayetteville City: Caitlyn Plunkett 55.
