Jimmie Chester Lemay, 79, of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born in Giles County, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Holder and Jessie Lemay. He was retired from the former Butler Brothers Furniture and Hardware store as an appliance technician with 45 years of service. He was also a member of the Church Street Church of Christ.

His parents and a brother, Vander Lemay, preceded Mr. Lemay in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Kay (Bob) Barnes of Lewisburg; three sons, Terry (Lisa White) Lemay, Chris (Kathleen) Lemay and Jeff Lemay, all of Lewisburg; one special friend of 25 years, Carol Moore of Columbia; two sisters, Catherine (Dick) Lindsey of Mt. Pleasant and Margie (Howard) Fault of Columbia; a grandchild, Ashley Lemay of Cornersville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Lemay will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. James Watkins will be officiating.

Visitation with the family at the funeral home will be for one hour prior to the funeral hour on Friday.
