Katherine Armstrong Taylor McCord

Katherine Armstrong Taylor McCord, 83, daughter of the late Joe and Elizabeth Henry Armstrong was born on Oct. 7, 1928. She unexpectedly passed away on Sept. 20, 2012, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. Katherine was a native of Chapel Hill. She is survived by four sons, William (Delorse) Taylor, Frank (Debra) Taylor, Ronnie (Deloris) Taylor, and Parnell Taylor; three daughters, Linda Renfro, Kathey (Robert) McClain, and Annette (Pastor Kenny) Anderson; two sisters, Annie Ruth Mayes and Marie Houston; one brother, Joe Armstrong; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church in Chapel Hill.

Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
