Robert Orville "Cobb" Wright, 76, of Unionville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Heritage Medical Center.
He was born May 6, 1937, in Chapel Hill, to the late John Henry and Mattie Adelaide Chrisman Wright. He was a retired truck driver for Heil Quaker of Lewisburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Newton Wright, in 1997, and a brother, Leroy Wright.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Wayne Wright, and his wife Cindy, and two daughters, Juanita Douglas, and her husband Jack, and Kathy Pugh, and her husband, Donald, all of Unionville; three brothers, Tom Wright, and his wife Sarah, and Earl Wright, and his wife Wilma, both of Lewisburg, and Homer Wright, and his wife Joyce, of Pleasant Grove; a sister, Jean Boyce, and her husband Raymond, of Unionville; and three grandchildren, Douglas Wayne Pugh, Justin Wright, and Brandi Wright.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel, Shelbyville, with Sister Agnes Lepley and Brother Mike Hannah officiating. Mr. Wright's ashes will be buried at Simpson Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
