Raymond E. Boyce, 83, of Unionville, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in Nashville.
Mr. Boyce was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late John M. and Evelyn Rusher Boyce. He was a lifelong farmer and livestock dealer and a member of Rover Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyce was preceded in death by a brother, Albert "Shorty" Boyce.
He is survived by his wife, Emogene "Jean" Boyce of Unionville; daughter, Carolyn (Bob) Bellenfant of Shelbyville; son, Bob (Clara) Boyce of Shelbyville; four grandchildren, Tracey Fields of Shelbyville, Robin (Mark) Stafford of Shelbyville, Gary (Wendy) Boyce of Shelbyville, and Angie (Thomas) Brown of Shelbyville; four great-grandchildren, David Donald of Johnson City, Matthew France of Shelbyville, Caleb Boyce of Unionville, and Mason Brown of Shelbyville; sisters, Marie Cooper of Unionville and Helen (James M.) Crowell of Unionville; and brothers, Johnny Boyce of Unionville, Bill Boyce of Shelbyville, and Donald Boyce of Unionville.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Oct. 28, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms officiating. Burial followed in Simpson Cemetery.
Lawrence Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Chapel Hill, was in charge of arrangements.
