Samuel D. Dukes

Samuel D. Dukes, 50, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Marshall Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ueal Lee Dukes Sr. and Christeen Hall Dukes; brother, Ueal Lee Jr.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Williams and Rev. and Mrs. William Dukes; niece, Andrea Hall; nephew, Triston Summers; and uncles, Freeman and Flournoy Dukes.

He is survived by siblings, July Adams, Joann Hall, Joyce Paxton, Jasmine Campbell, and Renee Martin, and Christopher and Patrick Dukes; uncles, Roy and W.P. Dukes; aunts, Queenie, Louise and Katherine Dukes, and Ann Bailey; and a host of relatives and friends.

He will lie in state from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church, Lewisburg. Funeral services begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Cook Memorial Cemetery with Pastor David McConnell officiating.
