Emmett Eugene Martin, 83, of Holly Grove Road, Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Marshall Medical Center.

A native of Giles County, Mr. Martin was the son of the late William Martin and Beatrice Pillow Martin. A member of the Tennessee National Guard, he was employed at ICP (Heil-Quaker Corp.) for 42 years, and was a charter member of Parkview Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 30 years.

In addition to his parents, five brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnie Hughes Martin of Lewisburg; three daughters, Vickie (Dan) Berger of Arlington, Ohio, and Lisa (Cliff) McGill and Carla (Ricky) Pitts, both of Lewisburg; three grandsons, Chris Martin, Michael Gray, and Thaddeus Berger; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. George Hill and Rev. Luke Bowling officiating. Burial will take place in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Parkview Baptist Church Future Growth fund.
