Alice Lily Johns Odum

Alice Lily Johns Odum, 90, of Lewisburg passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. Mrs. Odum was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Feb. 26, 1922, to Lillian Dagmar Lindquist and Albert Jahns Sr. She married Clyde Donnell Odum Jr. of Commerce, Tenn., in 1943. At different times in her life, she resided in Old Hickory, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, and Kinston, N.C. She was a member of Marshall County Art Guild, Unity Church in Brentwood, and Spirited Divas Red Hat Society.

Mrs. Odum was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, and sister, Doris Adams. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry (Jerry) Adams; son, Don (Wanda) Odum; sister, Gloria Ratkovich of Schaumburg, Ill.; brother, Albert Jahns Jr. (Betty) of Sun City Center, Fla.; six grandchildren, Christina (Bud) Tucker, Jason (Kelly) Odum, Travis Odum, Ann Marie (Jay) Powell, Robyn (Jamye) Few, and Chase Adams; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Verner Dean; and 14 nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at London Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at Unity Church, 5125 Franklin Pike, Nashville, on at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Church in Brentwood, the Marshall County Art Guild, or the charity of your choice.
