Berkley Gordon Watson Jr., 87, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, in Williamson Medical Center.

Mr. Watson was a native of Maury County, and son of the late Berkley Gordon Sr. and Brownie Louise Hardison Watson. He served his country in the U.S. Marines, participating in action against the enemy at Saipan and Tinian Islands, Okinawa, Ryukyu Island, and in the occupation of Japan.

He was in the National Elevators Industry for over 40 years and was a member of Antioch Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Hilda Watson of Lewisburg; two sons, Tommy (Olivia) McGaugh and John Allen (Connie) Watson, all of Franklin; five grandsons; one granddaughter; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Doug Williams.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 8, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial with military honors in Morton Cemetery in the Berlin Community.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or the charity of your choice.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
