Elmo Baker

Elmo Baker, 65, of Belfast, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Baker was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late James Rollin and Hazel Maw Jones Baker. He was a retired carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne Baker; stepson, Donald Bailey; sister, Irma Frances Mechell; and brother, Bobby Neal Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Baker of Belfast; daughter, Tymna Lynn Lee of Lewisburg; two sons, Elmo Baker Jr. of Lewisburg and James Baker of Ft. Sills, Okla.; stepdaughter, Deanna Cheeves of Lewisburg; brother, J. W. Baker of Lufkin, Texas; two sisters, Jeannie Cummins of Houston, Texas, and Dottie Carter of Dickson; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 19, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with Clifford Cary officiating. Mr. Baker's body was cremated following the services.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
