A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Tennie Lee Davis and Earl Davis. He was retired from M & W Trucking, where he worked as a truck driver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Wayne Davis and Leonard Earl Davis.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Jane Hazlett of Lewisburg and Deborah Adams of Centerville; two sisters, Betty Langley of Lewisburg and Thelma Warren of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren, Anissa Jackson of Chapel Hill, Dustin Hazlett of Lewisburg, and Eric "Ooch" Hazlett of Lewisburg. Two great-grandchildren, Tony Jackson and Dylan Jackson, also survive.
Memorial services for Mr. Davis will be conducted at noon Saturday, Jan. 5, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Rob Garretson officiating.
Visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, and continue until the funeral hour.
