Marie Inez Porter, 85, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at St. Thomas Alive Hospice Center in Nashville.
A native of Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late Connie Moore Barras and Elvin Barras. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Porter.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Sells of Lawrenceburg; one son, Clyde (Cathy) Porter III of Murfreesboro; and two granddaughters, Angela Jacobs of Etheridge and Jenifer Daniel of Smryna. Four grandsons, Brian and Jason Risner of Lawrenceburg, Matthew Sells of Lawrenceburg, and Clyde Porter IV of Smryna; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Porter's body was cremated.
Graveside memorial services for Mrs. Porter were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia with Barry Sells officiating.
