Austin Alfred "Fred" Parsons

Austin Alfred "Fred" Parsons, 71, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Parsons was a native of Hornersville, Mo., and he was the son of the late Alfred Austin and Ola Brewer Parsons. He graduated from Hornersville High School and attended Arkansas State University for two years where he was a varsity baseball player. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He was a member and officer of Kappa Psi fraternity. He was a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church, was active in the Marshall County Little League for over 20 years, and was the co-owner of Parsons Pharmacy for the last 47 years.

He is survived by his three daughters, Meredithe Douglas Parsons of Spring Hill, Madalynn Parsons Beech of Lewisburg, and Larissa Parsons Delk of Lewisburg; two sisters, Becky Deason of Horn Lake, Miss. and Jill Parsons of Jackson, Tenn. Four grandchildren, Mary Clayton Beech, Thomas Austin Beech, Sydney Tidwell, and Sutton Delk, all of Lewisburg, also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Sunset Park.

The family will be at London Funeral Home for visitation Saturday, Feb. 2, from 3 until 7 p.m. and Sunday until the funeral hour.
