James, Santana and Atlas on wrestling card in Lewisburg
For the last three years, ASW has presented Summer Heat, but this year will be one for the record books with two wrestling legends and a women's champion all lined up to invade Marshall County High School in Lewisburg to benefit God's Lemonade Stand.
This year, Mickie James will be headed back to face off against Brittany Love. The ASW Diva has been on a hot streak with wrestling all over the state, but now Love will face off once again with the Impact Wrestling women's champion.
Two of the greatest wrestling legends arewill also be headed to Lewisburg.
WWE Hall of Fame member Tito Santana will be in singles action against Mr. TNT Shane Morton with Gordon at ringside. Morton has been spouting off how he is the greatest, but now he will have to continue to prove that statement against of the of the legends of wrestling.
Another WWE Hall of Fame legend, "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas, will face off against Yukon Jack in a $10,000 Body Slam Challenge! Who will walk away with an extra $10,000 payday on Saturday.?
The ASW Tag Team Championship has always been one of the more coveted tag team titles in southern Tennessee. This time, there will be no limits to what tag team wrestling will be when the Untouchables (Drew Haskins and Jeremiah Plunkett) face off against Super Sharp (Lawrence and Mikey Dunn).
In a slogan showdown, it will be "The Ice Man" Chris Kerns facing off against JP "Cage" Jones. But the victor will not only get the winner's purse, but will be able to continue using the slogan "Who's the Man!"
In a four-way elimination match, "Priceless" Petey St. Croix will face off against "Beautiful" Bobby Lowe and "The Honey Badger" Mark Dunnavent and "Sensei" Phil Macchio. The winner of this match will become the number one contender for the United States Championship.
Also announced, Nick Nitros will be having a Nitros' Noise segment. Plus, the Shelby Lee Lowe Band will be performing.
ASW Summer Heat 3 will be at Marshall County High School at 597 West Ellington Parkway.Doors open at 5 p.m. with music starting at 5:30 p.m. and bell time at 7 p.m.
Tickets are available at the door for $15 for floor seats and $10 for general admission seats.
