Tigers edge Spring Hill, blast Eagles
The Marshall County Tigers found home cooking to be a delight Tuesday at Saddle Creek Golf Club, edging Spring Hill 173-177 at their home course in Lewisburg.
In a balanced attack, Brooks Leftwich led the charge with a 42 on the front nine holes with Austin Blade carding a 43, while Zach Smith and Kasey Beard both signed for identical 44s.
The second place Raiders were led by Noah Gibson and Chris Cooper, who both carded seven-over par 43s.
Brandon Sanchez ended up with a 45 and Libby Cooper, playing with the boys, signed for a 45.
Eagleville was way behind their two competitors, tallying a team total 199, but Dakota Beach took home the low medalist honors with a smooth two-over par 38.

The Tigers will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on Hickman County and Fayetteville City at Saddle Creek, beginning at 4 p.m.
