Charles Sherman Lowrance

Charles Sherman Lowrance, 76, of Cornersville, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, in Lincoln Medical Center.

Mr. Lowrance was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Charles Hoyte and Lonnie Hedgecoth Lowrance. He was a graduate of Cornersville High School, retired from Kroger of Lewisburg after 35 years of employment, and was a member of Westvue Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Lowrance.

He is survived by his wife, Lavonne Short Lowrance of Cornersville; two daughters, Bonnie (Ronnie) Braden of Memphis and Tammy (Gary) Owen of Lewisburg; three sons, David (Donna) Lowrance of Shelbyville, Doug (Cheryl) Lowrance of Portland, and Devin (Laurie) Lowrance of Fayetteville; brother, Ralph Lowrance of Lewisburg; sister, Brenda Upton of Cornersville; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Sept. 9, from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home, with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery in the Ostella Community.
