Michael Lee Jackson, 61, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at the V.A. Medical Center in Nashville.

Mr. Jackson was a native of Delaware, Ohio, and son of the late Lester and Pearl Rice Jackson. He was a self-employed painter and member of the Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He was the Quarter Master for the local VFW Post 5109 and member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Jackson of Lewisburg; son, Derek Jackson, and daughter, Leslie Davis , both of Tullahoma; two stepdaughters, Jill Garrett of Nashville and Amy Stout of Chapel Hill; and sister, Caroline Jackson (Don) Johnson of Centre, Ala. Three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one step grandchild also survives.

Mr. Jackson's body will be cremated, with a memorial service to be conducted at a later date.
