Arthur Folgers, 70, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in Murfreesboro.
Mr. Folgers was born in Chicago, Ill., and was a son of the late Clarence and Eileen Ford Folgers. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Folgers retired from the security department of Nissan Inc. in Smyrna after over 20 years of service. He was a member of Rover Baptist Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Folgers is survived by his wife, Janet Folgers, two daughters, Tiffany F. (Sal) Pando and Tammy E. Folgers, grandchildren, Nicolas Angel Pando, Aaron Joaquin Pando, and Eryka Grace Martinez, and brother-in-law, Carl Hargis, all of the Rover Community; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 25, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms officiating. Burial, with military honors, followed in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community.
