Edgar Burt Hunter Jr., 86, of the Farmington Community died Saturday, March 1, 2014, in NHC Lewisburg Healthcare.

Mr. Hunter was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Edgar Burt Sr. and Edith Browning Hunter. He was the former Sealtest Milk distributor for this area and he retired as a supervisor for InterCity Products. He was a member of Lewisburg First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Coble Hunter, and three sisters, Jerre Sanders, Jean Hunter, and Jane Johnson.

He is survived by two daughters, Dianne Hunter (Al) Green of Arrington and Edie Hunter (Don) Thrasher of Kelso; son, Eddie (Melinda) Hunter of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, McKenna Hunter, Hunter Thrasher, and Jacob Thrasher; and a longtime caregiver, Pat Osborne.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 4, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Lewisburg First Baptist Church Building Fund, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the charity of your choice.

The pallbearers were Whit Whitaker, Bob Whitaker, Grady Coble, Jim Coble, Drew Johnson, and David Sanders.

The honorary pallbearers were Margaret Tyree, "Duck" Thompson, Mac and Peggy Fowler, Margie Harris, Hilda Lasater, Betty Russell, J.W. Nickens, and Billie Ruth Wade.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
