Dedication is something so many of the volunteers of the Good Samaritan in Lewisburg possess. Many of them work three days a week on a strictly volunteer basis. The head of the Good Samaritan in Lewisburg is Wallace Haley. He handles many of the food donations. Barbara Faulkner has been a very active member of the Good Samaritan for about three years. Other familiar faces of the Good Samaritan are Della Rudd with 25 years of service and Ruth Gilliam who has served for almost 10 years. The volunteers at the Good Samaritan are dedicated and love what they are doing. Many of the volunteers are Marshall Countians, and look forward to working at the Good Samaritan.

"We look forward to coming up here," said Rudd. People stop in to shop, while others stop in for just a visit. The Good Samaritan is open for shopping to everyone. They take donations on Mondays and Thursdays between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Donations can be made in any amount. They accept yard sale items, money, books, magazines, furniture, household items, clothes, and linens. According to the volunteers, people need help now more than they have in a long time. Because of this the Good Samaritan could use donations now more than ever.

"Many people are without jobs, so we do what we can to help," said Rudd.
