Frank Edward Sharp Sr.
Frank Edward Sharp Sr., 80, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Sharp was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Joe Henry and Allene Hopper Sharp. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired barber and was a member of the Lewisburg First Baptist Church where he was active in the choir. Other great enjoyments in his life were family and the Whittlers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Jane Howard Sharp, in December of 2009; two sisters, Joanne Sharp Wallace and Nancy Sharp Vann; and his brother, Billy Wayne Sharp, in July of 2013.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine Sharp Whittaker of Lewisburg; three sons, Joe H. Sharp and Frank Sharp Jr., both of Lewisburg, and Tom Sharp of Jackson, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were the Whittlers: Valton Martin, J.W. Stephens, Vinal Endsley, Richard Cashion, Doyle Gattis, Wayne Jones, Loyd Wortham, Johnny Faulkner, Ted Cashion, Johnny Isley, Glen Adcock, and Roy Bishop.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 9, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
London Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
