Easter Egg Hunt enjoyed in Rock Creek Park
By Jessica Moore
An Easter Egg hunt was held Saturday morning at Rock Creek Park in Lewisburg, with all proceeds benefitting the March of Dimes.
Children 12 and under were invited to visit with the Easter Bunny and get their picture made, hunt for Easter eggs, and enjoy goodies and refreshments. Thanks in part to the beautiful weather, there was quite a turnout for this event which is organized annually by Marshall County Chiropractic.
As the hostess said GO! the children took off as fast as their legs could take them in hopes of picking up as many eggs as they could fit in their baskets. To keep it fair, the children were separated into two groups -- 5 and under and 6 to 12 -- and hunted in different sections of the park. The eggs were filled with prizes and candy. Once all the eggs were collected, children sat around with their parents looking through their eggs to see what they had won. Many won free prizes, while others won free hotdogs and drinks. It's safe to say the children really enjoyed themselves all while supporting a great cause.
