Deacon Johnnie Adams
Deacon Johnnie Adams, 55, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Nashville.
He was a son of the late John Robert Adams Sr. and Rosie Maclin Adams.
He was Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church. Johnnie graduated from Covington High School in 1976 and was a skilled carpenter and construction worker with J.C. Codell Company. He will be missed with loving affection.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Adams; four children, Deadrick Adams, Whitney Adams, Rosalyn Hannah, and Brandon Johnson; granddaughter, Reagan Hannah; five sisters, Dorothy Edwards, Rosie Danos, Deloise Adams, Wendy Elders, and Penne Reed; eight brothers, Melvin Adams, Thomas Adams, Clayton Adams, Cleffo Dowell, Clarence Dowell, John Adams Jr., Andrew Adams, and Elvis Adams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church, Pastor David McConnell, Eulogist. Burial followed at Lone Oak Cemetery.
