Fagan garners top honors

Former Cornersville softball standout and current Trevecca staff ace Haley Fagan recently received four major honors because of her efforts in the circle. Along with being named First Team All-Conference, Fagan earned the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year Award. She was also named Pitcher of the Week by the National Christian Colleges Athletic Association for her efforts from April 27 to May 3 and was selected to the NCCAA Mideast All-Region First Team. During the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament, Fagan was dominant in the circle, as she posted a 3-0 record, allowed just one earned run in 20 innings of work, and a racked up 21 strikeouts to help lead top seeded Trevecca to their second straight G-MAC tournament title. For the season, she finished with a stellar 16-6 record and a team low 1.55 ERA while tallying 151 strikeouts over 158 1/3 innings. Fagan led all conference starting pitchers in ERA and strikeouts as well and ranked second in the league in wins.
