Annie Ruth Thompson McGaugh

Annie Ruth Thompson McGaugh, 83, of Lewisburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in NHC Healthcare-Lewisburg.

A native of Marshall County, Mrs. McGaugh was the daughter of the late Calvin David Thompson and Ida B. Church Thompson. She was retired from Russell Vending and Genesco, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of East Commerce Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Fred T. McGaugh, who passed away in 2013; one son, Ike McGaugh, who passed away in 1967; four brothers, Charles Edwin Thompson, James Wade Thompson, Bobby Loyd Thompson, and Billy Thompson; one sister, Mildred Watson; and a son-in-law, Mike Miller.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Jim) Walls of Chapel Hill and Teresa Miller of Lewisburg; two sisters, Mary Ann Weaver of Lewisburg and Dorise Faye Childress of Albertville, Ala; one brother, Howard Lee (Cheryl) Thompson of Merles Inlet, S.C.; six grandchildren, Jimmy Wayne Walls, Spence Walls, Lessie Uselton, Brad Miller, Lance Miller, and Tracie Miller; and eight great-grandchildren, Trayson J. Miller, Alexa J. Miller, Spencer Walls, Mason Walls, Mackenzie Walls, Kennedy Uselton, Mallorie Uselton, and Drew Uselton. Many dear friends and loving nieces and nephews also survive her.

Funeral services for Mrs. McGaugh were held Friday, June 6, in the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Ryan Davis officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Park Cemetery in Lewisburg.

Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
