The 12U Marshall County Rampage went undefeated (6-0) at Ridley Park in Columbia on July 11 and 12 to capture USGFA Rec title, outscoring their opponents 52-8 in the tournament.

The Rampage beat the D.C. Blaze 10-5 in the title tilt.

"It was a great team victory," said Rampage head coach Jimmy Walls. "We made our routine plays, while the other teams didn't throughout the series."

Great play

The Rampage swung some hot bats in the tournament and played small ball too, executing the bunting game to perfection, and when on base, they were successful in 23 out of 24 stolen base attempts.

"We had several kids that went deep in the pitch count before coming through with some big hits and we ran the bases very smart," said Walls.

On defense, the Rampage locked down their opponents and the pitching staff also turned in an outstanding tournament, walking just one batter in the six contests.

"We set out defense and the pitchers hit their spots," said Walls. "And we had outstanding catching with just four passed balls in two days," said Walls. "I just and parents for representing Marshall County with so much class."
