Albert Sharp Jr., 82, of Lavaca, Ark. entered into rest on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014.

He was born April 28, 1932, in Lewisburg.

He was a dialysis tech for Holt Krock Clinic, a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, and he also retired from the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sr. and Ethel Sharp; two brothers, Oscar Lee and Robert A.; and one sister, Brooksie Pugh.

He is survived by his wife Ruth of the home; one daughter, Dale Rogers and husband Bill of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sons, Randy Sharp of Lavaca, Ark. and Rodney Sharp and wife Angel of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister Ann Metcalf and husband Butch of Lewisburg; one brother, Bill Sharp and wife Judy of Elgin, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jason Rogers, Justin Rogers, and Brooklyn Sharp; and one great-grandchild, Allie Rogers. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith.
