Burglary and vandalism reported at the Rec Center
In the early morning hours of Wednesday, Aug. 27, several golf carts were stolen from the Lewisburg Recreation Center.
The golf carts were driven recklessly and without permission on the golf course and the adjoining football field, causing damage to both.
At least one of the golf carts was driven through a fence surrounding the football field. After entry was made into the Marshall County High School football field area, the concession stand was burglarized and several items were stolen, including drinks and snacks.
The golf carts were recovered in the area of White Drive, but several of the carts were damaged.
