James Houston Stewmon, 74, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, in NHC Lewisburg.

Mr. Stewmon was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Joe Wilson and Martha Lucille Glasscock Stewmon. He was a machinist and member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Uzzell Stewmon of Lewisburg; two daughters, Sandy Adair of Cornersville and Angel Clanton of Lewisburg; two sons, Kent Stewmon of Lewisburg and Dwayne Carter of Pottsville; three sisters, Jane Keith of Tullahoma, and Mary Jo Crutcher and Norma Rutherford, both of Lewisburg; two brothers, Freddie Stewmon of Lewisburg and Frankie Capley of Smyrna; three grandchildren, Ethan Stewmon, and Ashley and Brittney Clanton; and cousins, Brenda Matthews, Carolyn Brannon, Mary Ann Reese, Dr. Gaylon Bates, Donnie Glasscock, and Carl Glasscock.

A memorial service was conducted Thursday, Sept. 18, from Westvue Church of Christ, followed by burial in Berea Cemetery.

London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
