Eddie Wayne Blackwell, 53, of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

A native of Marshall County, Mr. Blackwell was the son of the late Bobby Blackwell and Linda Fay Curtis Blackwell of Lewisburg, who survives. Mr. Blackwell was self-employed as a roofer and was a member of the Church of Christ faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Dixie Lynn Blackwell.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Kim Darnell of Lewisburg; two sons, Scotty (Cherry) Blackwell and Brandon Eric (Sarah) Blackwell, both of Lewisburg; one daughter, Jessica Leann Blackwell of Lewisburg; one stepson, Josh Darnell of Lewisburg; one sister, Bobbie Jean (Bill) Finch of Shelbyville; one brother, Steve Blackwell of Lewisburg; and two grandchildren, Ethan and Melleeine Blackwell.

Funeral services for Mr. Blackwell will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Linda Price officiating. Burial will follow in Short Cemetery.

Visitation with the family began Tuesday, and continues Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
