Terry Campbell

Terry Campbell, 54, of Lawrenceburg, passed through this life unexpectedly and went home to Jesus on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014.

He loved and cherished his Lord, his wife and their two sons, his mother, his extended family, and too many friends to count. He worked for the Lawrence County Government and was a member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ.

Terry enjoyed the many things that life has to offer with an amazing zest and joy. He loved spending time with his family in the great outdoors, going on camping trips, motorcycle rides, and he and Beth regularly enjoyed Sunday lunches with his mom. In recent years, he and Beth often went on scenic motorcycle rides or went camping at some of the beautiful scenic places Tennessee has to offer. He had a booming bass voice and praised God with years of playing bass guitar in southern gospel groups. He was a longtime scorekeeper for Summertown High School basketball games. Terry could rebuild, restore, and repair almost anything. His favorite hobby was trading and bartering cars, trucks, campers, boats, etc. He was a master story teller and could joke and prank with the best. He had an infectious smile. He was known for many, many generous and selfless acts of service, and gracious and kind words benefitting hundreds of people in Giles and Lawrence counties. Terry's loss is great, and he will be greatly missed.

Terry, a Giles County native, was preceded in death by his father Odus Campbell.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Beth Binkley Campbell, formerly of Lewisburg, to whom he'd been married for 26 years; his sons Frank (Brittany) of Lewisburg and Bobby of Lawrenceburg; his mother, Willodean Campbell of Lawrenceburg; and his aunt, Maggie Campbell, also of Lawrenceburg. He is also survived by extended family and numerous friends.

Funeral services took place at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 30, with Jeremiah Tatum officiating. Interment followed at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Summertown High School Alumni Association for SHS Athletics, c/o Scott Franks, P.O. Box 192, Summertown, TN 38483.
