Reavis Bryant Stacey
Reavis "Reb" Bryant Stacey, 88, of Williamstown, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at his residence.
Reb was an Air Force veteran of WWII. He was a business entrepreneur, with prior ownership of 30 + Cinderella Dry Cleaners and coin laundries throughout the U.S.; a tree farmer, having planted more than 13,000 trees throughout the county; and the host of many Boy Scouts and field trips at the Reb Stacey Woodland and Wildlife Farm in Folsom, Ky. He was an avid water and snow skier, had a passion to dance, and has often been referred to as the grandfather of Williamstown Lake, where he was a former manager of the Williamstown Marina. Mr. Stacey was a Kentucky Colonel, was chosen as the 2013 Veteran of the Year, was a recipient of the Kentucky Lifetime Environmental Protection award, and gave numerous donations to the benefit of Grant County and the Historical Society.
Reb is survived by his wife, Wylene Ledbetter Stacey.
In addition to his wife, Reb is survived by one son, Bill (Linda) Stacey of Fairfield, Ohio; two daughters, Debi (Art) Stacey-Billington of Atlanta, Ga. and Diane (Mark Murray) Stacey of Williamstown, Ky.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, Ky.
Private burial will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, on a future date at the convenience of the family.
