Marvin Ross Briggs
Marvin Ross Briggs, 77, of the Robertson Fork Community, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, in Southern TN Regional Health System in Pulaski.
Mr. Briggs was a native of Giles County, and son of the late Marvin Roy and Sarah Etta Wells Briggs. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Merietta Hobby, Janice Parks, and Sarah E. Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Benita McGowan Briggs of Robertson Fork; two sons, Dwayne (Debbie) Briggs and Dwight Briggs, both of Robertson Fork; sister, France Ann Briggs of Lynnville; four grandchildren, Davida (Justin) Wilson, Dustin Briggs, Matthew Briggs, and Benjamin Briggs; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 17, from the Robertson Fork Church of Christ, followed by burial in the Lynnwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dustin Briggs, Matthew Briggs, Benjamin Briggs, Tommy Ray, Gerrod Shirey, and Wendell Rowe. Elders and deacons of Robertson Fork Church of Christ served as honorary pallbearers.
Cornersville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
