Randall Steagall, 84, of the Verona Community of Marshall County, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014.

Mr. Steagall was born in Sentinel, Okla. and grew up in Rutherford County, Tenn. He showed his prize Jersey cows and had his pilot's license before his driver's license. Randall graduated from Kittrell High School and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Steagall was a plumber and electrician and retired from Blalock Plumbing and Electric of Lewisburg.

He was s son of the late William M. and Ruby Hare Steagall.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Martha R. Steagall; a sister, Joy Steagall; daughter-in-law, Debbie Steagall; two grandsons, Will Martin and Trinity Steagall; and a great-grandson, Zachary Adam.

Mr. Steagall is survived by eight children, Cathy (Joel) Haithcote of Shelbyville, Lynn Pulley of Guthrie, Ky., Randall W. (Lannie) Steagall of Murfreesboro, Bob (Donna) Halliburton of Chesterfield, Mo., Danny Steagall of Jackson Gap, Ala., and Lindy Martin (Tom Curtis), Bill (Nelly) Steagall, and Bart Steagall, all of the Verona Community; brother, Wendell (Annie) Steagall of Murfreesboro; sisters, Mary M. (Bob) Cole of Chapel Hill, and Sherry Hunter of the Verona Community; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Cunningham, Christopher Hill, and Floyd Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery.

Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
