Betty Grace Potts Curlee

Funeral services for Betty Grace Potts Curlee, 55, of Shelbyville, were held Sunday, Dec. 7, at the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Mark Pierce and Rev Lanita Monroe officiating. Burial followed in Willow Mount Cemetery.

Mrs. Curlee passed from this life Thursday evening, Dec. 4, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

A native of Shelbyville, Mrs. Curlee was daughter of the late Joseph Avery Potts and Frances Cameron. A graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, she worked as a florist at Mary's Flowers for 35 years and at Flowers for Keeps for 10 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Curlee was preceded in death by brother, Sam Brownfield.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Larry Curlee, daughter, Corey Kay Curlee (Adam) Bates, and granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Bates, all of Shelbyville; siblings, Susy Potts (Mike) Stewart of Bedford, Lorraine Brownfield (Bud) Hill of Blairsville, Ga., Joseph Thomas Potts of Bedford County, and Jack (Barbara Belefant) Brownfield of Cleveland, Tenn.

Doak-Howell Funeral Home served the family.
