Elizabeth Tiny Knott
Elizabeth Tiny Knott, 96, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Lincoln Care Center.
She was born on June 25, 1918, in Lincoln County, to the late Jessie and Bessie Buchanan Knott. She was employed as a domestic caregiver and later worked at Blue Ridge Shirt Manufacturing. She was a member of the St. John Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Knott Cannon; brothers, Jessie Knott and James (Mamie Sue) Knott; and grandson, Jerry Knott.
Mrs. Knott is survived by her daughters, Betty Knott of Fayetteville and Mae Tom Knott (Jimmy Tidwell) of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jinson Knott, Ray Suggs, Robert (Rhonda) Knott, Stinson (Eula) Knott, Myra Scott, Gwen Knott, Tonya Lightfoot, Timothy Knott, Dennis Knott, and Cornell Knott; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-gradchildren; special aunt, Pearline Buchanan; niece, Peggie Knott; and nephews, Richard Knott Cannon, Charlie Cannon, and Joe Knott.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Nov. 30, in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Minister Stinson Knott officiating. Burial followed in Brown's Temple Cemetery.
