Layne Worsham's funeral is Saturday
Wesley Layne Worsham, 47, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, in Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Layne was a native of Giles County, and son of Don Worsham and Carolyn Rainey Magnusson. He was employed as a deputy with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and, formerly, as a police officer with the Cornersville Police Department. He was also employed part-time with London Funeral Home in their monument and cemetery operation. Layne was a member of the Cornersville First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Sherrill Worsham of Lewisburg; five daughters, Heather (Adam) Combs and Paige Worsham, both of Lewisburg, Kelly (Gary) Whitt and Christie Bass, both of Pulaski, and Amber (Donnie) Evans of Lawrenceburg; father, Don (Phyllis) Worsham of Lynnville; mother, Carolyn (Jimmy) Magnusson of Ardmore; brother, Barry Worsham of Murfreesboro; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Chapman of Lewisburg; step paternal grandparents, Charlie P. and Lillian Magnusson; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Scott's Hill Cemetery in the Bodenham Community with law enforcement honors.
The family will be at London Funeral Home Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. for visitation.
